BCAS Annual Dinner
Wednesday, June 20, 6:00 p.m., Remington's Restaurant, Bridges Golf Course, Montrose: Mark your calendars for the annual BCAS dinner at Remington's Restaurant. Our speaker this year will be Chris Parish, Director of Global Conservation with The Peregrine Falcon Fund in Arizona, who will talk about the recovery of the California Condor, including the effect of lead poisoning on their decline. California Condors have come back from the brink of extinction through heroic efforts in captive breeding and systematic release back into its former range. Condors are wide ranging and have been seen on ocassion in Colorado, something that we hope will happen more often in the future. More details to come in the next newsletter. Reservations will be required for the dinner: additional information coming soon.
