Join Bruce Ackerman, president of Black Canyon Audubon Society, for a field trip to Fruitgrowers Reservoir outside of Eckert on Tuesday May 22. This small reservoir is an exciting place to see spring migrants, especially waterfowl and shore birds. On a quick trip on Saturday May 12, we saw Wilson's Phalaropes, Long-billed dowitchers, lots of grebes, an immature bald eagle, and white pelicans. Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Gold's Gym parking lot in Montrose for carpooling or meet us at the reservoir at 9:00 a.m.
