Environmental scientist Robin Smith will be speaking on what is being termed as the Sixth Extinction.  Biologists have identified five periods of rapid extinction in the past and some consider the present day to be in the midst of a sixth.  Robins' program will focus on biological diversity and how this has changed throughout the Earth's history.  Among the topics he will discuss will be the Carolona Parakeet and the Passenger Pigeon.  Please join us at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center in Delta at 7:00 p.m.  All are welcome and there is no charge.  Contact Sandy at (970) 497-0376 for more information.
