We will bird the South Rim Road with short hikes to canyon overlooks to spot birds. We will end the trip with a hike along the Warner Point Trail. 3-4 miles of hiking on easy to moderate terrain. We will meet at the Black Canyon Visitor’s Center at 8:30 a.m. Bring lunch and weather-appropriate gear. Birds to see: green-tailed towhee, spotted towhee, western tanager, scrub jay, white-throated swifts, swallows of all sorts, golden eagle and, if we are lucky, peregrine falcon.
