Bill Day will be leading a field trip to see purple martins and other birds in the rich aspen habitat of the Muddy Creek area in the upper North Fork Valley.  This is one of the few places where you can reliable see nesting purple martins in Colorado.  The trip will leave from Paonia River Park in Paonia at 7:45.  High-clearance vehicles are recommended.  Plan for a long day in the field, so bring lunch, hiking and rain gear, hats, and sunscreen.  For more information and to sign up, ontact Bill at (970) 872-3216 or billday @paonia.com.
