Stop by and watch a professional bird bander at work. This is a drop-in opportunity.  Volunteers will be present to answer your questions. This is a great opportunity to see birds up close and personal. The state park charges a $10/car entrance fee unless you have an annual "Keep Colorado Wild" pass. Banding usually starts early (6:30- 7:00 a.m.) and is done by noon or earlier (weather dependent). Enter Ridgway State Park at the Dallas Creek entrance and head to the southernmost parking lot. The banding station is just over the bridge.
